Oil leak

So today my car leaked all the oil out while I was driving. Car is knocking now obviously. But I'm not sure on the culprit of the leak. I pulled this black box off the back of the block that had a completely torn hose. I'm not sure what is it or if it could be the cause of my huge oil leak

PCV breather box. You can replace all the leaking stuff when you do the rebuild. :-(
