Anyone now the gear ratio of our 5speed manual tranny (E2K5) and the tranny from a late 80's lude 5speed manual, don't know the code, but from a 16v around 86 or something

I woundring about put that intom my car and also lude engine, but is it any good reason to change the tranny too??

Does it give higher top speed or better acceleration or what??

And at last, does it handle more power? do I need to change the driveshafts too???

It's in the FAQs

The higher ratios should give you somewhat better acceleration. Since it's built about the same way as our trannies it is not likely to handle more power and you won't need different driveshafts unless you're replacing an automatic.

but just want say, I have rebuilt my car from auto to manual, and I did not need to change driveshafts, they where the same...
