Twice yesterday the good sounding old accord would not start right back up after crossing PA. No engine crank. Acted like clutch wasn't all the way in. But after cooling it started up like a champ. On short errands in the heat today, starts up fine.

Think is igniter / ignition control module?

Know where to find best replacement and which brands to avoid?

If it was the igniter, it'd still be cranking. My best guess is the starter solenoid.

You can test the solenoid by giving it a good whack with a wrench or something while a friend tries to start it. If it starts, the solenoid is bad.
