Hello 3geez, let me get this out of the way, my name is Shawn and I'm new to Hondas.

I recently got a 87 Accord LX Sedan from a friend to be my winter car. Well long story short, I blew the motor in my 03 3.8 Mustang last Wednesday and Suzy has suddenly become my daily.

She's an 87, carbed, with either a messed up 5spd or somebody swapped in a 4spd? 250k miles on the clock, oil leaks all over the engine, and other minor issues.

Otherwise for a 30 year old car, the body is damn near perfect, just needs paint, and the interior I would say is in fair condition.

I would load some pics, but don't want to deal with resizing on my phone.

the 5 speeds had 5th fail pretty commonly. The gear is about $250 and i believe it can be replaced while on the car if you have a helper.

nice car btw

The body was way to clean to let it go to a junkyard, I just had to tow it. I've found one fixable dent, besides that it needs paint.

If I start considering tearing into the transmission, I'll probably go through the work of a B series swap, the current engine needs a bit of love. The original intent of taking the car was a winter driver/project, once my Mustang is running again it's fair game on the Accord.
