Hey, I was thinking about making a trip to the junkyard and trying to find a spoiler to fit my 87 accord DX I had heard that the 90-91 spoilers fit ours............if I got one I would take the brake light out of my window and just hook the wires up to the LED's up to the wires the brake light in the window was hooked too.......would this cause me any problems? is it very hard to do ....the whole spoiler project.

If you do that, the brake light warning light will come on in the dash (and it's very annoying)

Just splice the wires from the 3rd brake light to the spoiler.

yea I read about the dummy light comming on in other threads.......what if I took the back brake light out..........and hooked it up to the LED's on the spoiler and a light bulb *or somthing that uses power* somewhere else to even it out ..........would the dummy light still come on?

Yeah the LED style lighting doesnt put out the same resistence so the dummy light will come on. I had this spoiler on my first coupe and its a real nice fit.

Say if you successfully did that then I hope you won't regret that you didn't get the right spoiler. There is no way that you can put a lightbulb of that size in the spoiler of a 3G-4G Accord spoiler (I mean a stock one).

Just take the advice of splicing the wires.

no I mean just put a light bulb in the trunk to use up that power so the dummy light dont come on......

why not just hide the brake light and connect it to the brake light on your trunk lid.

Haha good idea

I was checking out the local junkyard and I see this 4th gen accord trunk lid sitting on the ground (no accord in sight...). It had the OEM spoiler so i was happy but i noticed it was cracked quite a bit so alas I was sad.
