anyone know where to get a good reliable fuel pump? ive ordered 2 from rockauto and both were bad. i ordered a complete hanger setup from oreillys and that one was cheap and defected as well. fuel started spraying right when i put key to on position. was hoping to get pointed in the right direction and find a reliable source. thank you

Walbro is a popular choice.

For the Rock Auto pump, did you get the Beck/Arnley, Denso or Bosch?

Or was it the Precise...? :ugh:

The store is irrelevant. Buy from a good manufacturer.

I'm running the kemso 340 LPH. Replaces the walbro 255. The pump is made in Japan lifetime warranty best $30 I ever spent.

Great upgrade. the stock filter snaps right inn and reaches the bottom of the tank so you don't run out off gas on half a tank

I bought a Walbro/TI pump from Summit racing.It was the E 85 one.

I think alot of the ones you see are just cheap Chinese knock offs.

that new assembly from o'reilly's has a known defect where it holds the fuel line too high so the banjo bolt can't screw down flush. avoid airtex brand as well.

when you just swap the pump and screen and not whole assembly, what do you use to get the specialty fuel pump clamps off with? they look like a worm clamp band but with a different type of fastener?

i actually ended up ordering an nos fuel pump from cheaperhondaparts.com cost $235. the one at oreillys was 200 so i figured , whats 35 extra dollars. absalute perfection but when i started the ride it blew an injector seal. the 0ne closes to the regulator. i also got an nos gas cap. wondering if it just got the actual pressure its been wanting or is the injector just clogged. dont know where to start on this situation now

Thats a common problem if your o rings are old. Replace and test the injectors for good operation and you should be fine... i used o rings from oreillys recently they were expensive ($40 for the 1 set of o rings for 1 injector) they fit perfect tho unlike the ones from autozone

ok, thanks for the heads up on that. how do i test the injectors before putting them back in? is there a cleaning process also, since i will already have them out?
