Not to beat a dead horse, but anytime you get your air from outside the engine bay, your going to make more power than any shortram setup.

Hey it looks to me like he converted a CAI ment for another car, is that the case? If so what car was it originally ment for? Or did he just get some tubing and create it?

Look good! I agree, can't beat the hp gains from a CAI.

That intake was adapted from a 94-97 Accord CAI. It looks really good in person. Only thing he had to do was widen the hole to go down into the fender.

Im not sure what size the tubing is, probably somewhere between 2.5 and 3 inches.

For gains, he says the throttle response is better. I havent driven it yet, but when i do, ill let you know how it feels.

my friend put that pic up of my car w/ the cai its great its is the 3" diameter from the 2.2 accord. i did have to change the battery out because of the room in the bay. if you plan to do this save the rubber gasket that connects the intake to the manifold.

This may be a dumb question, but what material ia it made of. It looks like a type of plastic. If so, which do you think would do better. The plastic or the steel piping of a custom?

if its the same one i got, (which i think it is) its metal with powder paint (to reduce heat)

Is that a different sized battery or did you just move the stock sized one?
