were is the thermosthat located on a 88 accord lx. and how hard is it to replace?

in the thermostat housing, easy to replace

to find the thermostat housing follow the large upper coolant hose to where it is connected to the engine. the thing that the hose is connected to is the thermostat housing.

Follow the big radiator hose from the top left of your radiator and thats where your thermosthat is. You will see 2 bolts you have to undo(one is underneath and a little tough to get at) and when you take those out, the thermosthat is right there. Its pretty easy.

Just make sure you reinstall the new t-stat the same way as the old one.

Get a new gasket also.

Get a haynes manual, pretty lame you dont know where the t-stat is and you drive the car.
