Mike, those are stock 3G seats with 'teg headrests. They do look real good on his coupe, he's also got 'em on his pig (his hatch).

Does anyone know if it is really hard to dye the interior? It would be a lot cheaper to do that b/c it's in great condition still. I was thinking of like a darker color.

a few upholstery shops around suggest doing something verrrry strange. They suggested taking the upholstery off the seats, and using RIT clothing dye and treating them just as you would clothes and dye 'em. Sometimes it takes a few applications to get desired color saturation.

Yeah, that's my hatch. Kinda reminds you of yours a little huh? Anyway, ur right, Steve's coupe is by far one of the best looking, cleanest coupes I've ever seen. I even just had the luxury of rolling it's chassis back into his garage tonight. (It's under construction.)

I am in the process of grafting a mugen crx widebody front end on my lxi . I have a set of 16 inch rota circut 8s in bronze (mugen vm8 replicas with the mugen center caps on them you cant tell the diffrence) . I am going with championship white and a black mugen stripe in the sides . A local vendor is doing a custom fibre hood for me . everything will be together in a few weeks and I will post pics . I am trying to emulate the king motorsports/mugen integra. I am also modifying a mugen intake manifold and throttle body from a b16. the interior is dyed black with red recoros from a 92 jdm civic si, and a mugen steering wheel and shift knob. I am in the process of stitching the interior in red . I am a huge jdm fan , and it is easier for me to get parts because my fiance is from japan and has an ex who works at signal auto in osaka. cant wait to have it don and get the pics up

I didnt know they made one either , but he sent me one last month , it has the mugen casting on the top just like the integra one , come to think of it wouldnt it be the same part as the b18 one since all b series (16 and 18s not sure about the 20s ) share the same head configuration , I will have to check the part #s

BTW i am looking for an lxi parts car so i can swap to FI. cant stand carbs. errr.... I am at such a loss of motivation for this car. tell me why i should keep it, what i should do and why i should do it. Not be an attention whore, but i am running out of legit reasons to keep the car.

just got off the phone with my guy in japan , the mugen intake manifold is for the b18 , but it does bolt up to any b series motor (b20a included supposedly, there is a little bit of a language barrier )it was for the second gen integs so that would be a early b18 which if I am correct (and I might not be ) we only got that in the gsr but dont quote me on that because for some reason I thought the gsrs over here came with a b17. But i digress , it should fit the same way a b16 manifold fits the a20 block.

I dont have my car anymore. I broke down and I sold it to the towing company. Bobafett and 87hybrid are using the car for experiment purposes.

Atleast it's being put to good use for new ideas.

Chronic, honestly as far as some positive motivation for keeping the 3G...

...first of all, I don't like red, but ur car wears it very well. Props on that. You currently have a carb setup right? Well, here's ur options: Weber conversion of some sort, or just an EFI swap. Either way, it's a project, but certainly worth the time and effort. If you like turbo, contrary to popular belief, you can still sport the carb. That car looks badass, and can be badass on the auto-x with just a little work. 90% of what accounts for a good time is Great driving, the car only accounts for a small percentage. Compared to the hp/torque ratio of other cars, the A20 is comes out on top for torque. This engine is a great auto-x'ing engine. Stick with it man, in no time you'll be taking FTD's home every time you hit an auto-x.

I actually have been meaning to put on my 1st gen CRX lip, but that needs to be modified. So maybe now since the bumper is off I will go check out the legend and 1st gen teg lips. I definitely want to add something, but I **MIGHT** have to raise my car up. lol

The JDM look, to me, is sorta like telling people "I don't need eye catching paint or large azz rims to attract attention to the car"....... I'll say it once and i'll say it again.... Chrome was for the 90's and is now "played out". You don't wear chrome on sports cars, it will never look right.
Chrome is ok for Trucks and SUV's such as Yukon's. They also look nice on other cars such as "tanks" (impalas, chevy, some fords). But NOT sports cars, much less imports.

i agree with the business look idea. if you want people to look at you, get chrome wheels. but look at race cars. no race cars have chrome wheels. they have black or painted wheels (i know black wheels are painted). it's not really a JDM idea, it's a racer idea. race cars have always been build to perform and not nessacarily to look good. but when you put that style on the street it attracts attention, like Steve's car which looks amazing. race cars are now painted to attract attention only for advertising and ego purposes. but go to a local grudge night and look at the primered carswith steel wheels that are running great times. it's function over form taken to a different level.

Dang man.. I can't believe this thread is still goin. I think to each his own. I've never been a fan of chrome but I have to admit I've seen cars that I've liked with chrome wheels. Its just my opinion that I like the 'sport' look more than the 'show' look. Honestly who cares... what the other thinks? Just do your own thing and if its not too hideous, you'll get props for it.
