For the last couple of weeks or so, the red light on my dash panel that normally comes on when the parking brake is set will not turn off when I release the parking brake. I presume this is a switch issue. I've never encountered this problem before and I'm wondering where to find the switch.

make sure the brake fluid is topped up to the max mark.
The park brake light is also a low fluid warning light .

I had the float switch that's built into the master cylinder cap go bad on one of my master cylinders resulting in the dashboard brake light staying on. I ended up replacing the cap/switch assembly. It was an easy fix.

Thought I should let everyone know adding fluid to the brake reservoir solved the problem.
