dim headlight problem

my driver side headlight is dimmer than my passenger side. i remember i took it to my local mechanic and he made some ground wire that kind of fixed the problem. but since i last had work done on the car, by a honda dealership, i noticed the wire was gone, but headlight was fine, but now, you can see a difference in light output.

any suggestions or solutions to how i can fix this?

go back to the first mechanic and ask him what he did. let him show it to you.
