Have an exhaust leak in the collector of an '87 LX-i hatchback, and I have an '88 LX-i sedan that's about to go to the junkyard but the exhaust system is still fine. Can I use the exhaust from the '88 on the '87? I know they are different engine revisions and all the information I can find about their differences are about their emission controls, which is worrying when I'm thinking about the exhaust.

im pretty sure you can use an 88 exhaust manifold on an 87, the only difference i know of is that the 88 and 89 manifolds are are 4 into 2 into 1 and the 86-87 is 4 into 1. are you in europe? because the a20a4 is the european version of the 88-89 a20a3. as far as i know the a20a3 and a20a4 are pretty much the same minus the absence of the catalytic converter in the a20a4.
