What gauge wire for a ground connection

I need to replace my ground wire from the valve cover to the chassis. I know it's stranded copper wire but not the gauge. Does anyone know what gauge it is? It looks like it's the original.

86 Honda Accord LX, 4dr, carb, auto trans, ac, 2.0L.

I'd guess it's a 6 or 8 gauge wire. Some guys get fancy and go for thicker wire.
