Tech help for Honda accord

I've got a 92 accord, I noticed there isn't a thread for theses here... Any forum suggestions? 2door exr automatic

Problem:
Previous owner hooked up the battery backwards. Starter stays engaged only when in park or neutral. I'm sure there isn't a problem with the starter rather something is wrong with the ignition switch. Anyone have any suggestions?
