My 1985 steering wheel was extremely faded compared to center, taped off to avoid overspray in unnecessary places, direct color of duplicolor interior spray color not available so had to use regular Burgundy, cleaned steering wheel really good with lacquer thinner, sprayed one light coat, one medium coat and one final coat, let set 3 hours, finished off color match and sealed new finish with black shoe polish, let sit another hour, installed steering wheel cover and looks much better, 1st photo is the puke brown fade before pic of how faded the wheel was, also worked well on shift knob

Thumbs up. Good work. Looks way better.

Sure wish Dupli-Color offered match for those Rose Wine Red vinyl interior parts. But then again, I think there are at least three different shades of burgundy in different interior pieces.

How close is the finished color of the wheel to the color of non-faded and non-darkened interior trim that was once a matching color?
