find the post asking about swapping a D series motor, that's what you'd have.

BTW, it would be a vtec if it coming out of a ex or si model.

 did you look for the post I said to look for? I think you need to read that post before you ask any thing else.

Even though it's only on the next page of the engine swap section I'll go ahead and hand it to you.

Depends if it comes with the charger or just the handset. If you have the AC adapter then you really got lucky, in which case all you need is the phone wire. Make sure you don't operate it near old microwaves or monitors as the quality of the phone is questionable.

dont waste your time with a d-series motor. its not enough power or torque. your goin down in displacement, bad rule of thumb if the hp isnt there to back it up

I thought Vtec came out in 1993 (in the U.S.)

nope 1992 Si hatchback model if I remember correctly. The valve cover didn't say Vtec tough. (nor vtech)

the 92 Si would probably be the b16a1 in which case it would say VTEC but in small letters. But you're a canadian so wouldnt that be an SiR for us?

The 5th gen never came with a B series in America. The 92-93 Si model was a Vtec D16 engine.

There are many D-series VTEC motor's.

D16Z6 92-95 Si, EX 93-95 del sol Si
D16Z7 96-00 EX
D15Z1 92-95 VX
D15Z2 96-00 HX

and they all suck :D

Doesn't the 95 del sol Si have the b16a?

H22 baby!!!!

no..dont go for a D...no one on the board has one for good reason...they were a decent attempt at a more baddass engine...but in anything heavier then a tiny little del sol...they just suck.....

The del sol VTEC is the one that had the B16A.

del sol VTEC=B16A
del sol Si = D16Z6
del sol S = D15B7
