Vacuum solenoid ?

I have done some troubleshooting and finally traced down the the vacuum control solenoid inside the mystery box. I took the out and applied 12v to test them. The one for cold engine 4 degrees advance is shot. The other for A/C idle boost is working intermittently. I am thinking to change them out and I know trying to get OEM parts for our old cars is almost impossible. I am thinking about getting vacuum control solenoids from other cars to retrofit it. Has anyone done this before ?

yep. I'm thinking about retrofitted them using those for other cars. Something like that in the pic (for mazda). Use new vacuum lines and put it somewhere outside the mystery box.

Sounds good to me. Ill breeze thru the industrial side of things when I am at work this weekend see if I can find something.
