Hey everyone. Newbie, real fresh, just bought my 3rd gen Accord yesterday. 86 hatch, auto, clean body. Texas car originally. Wanted to swap to manual but car only has 93k miles so I might just put some coilovers. Any good sites on finding aftermarket products for these cars??

Welcome! I know exactly what car you have as I was eyeballing it on craig's and life got in the way so I didn't make time to go there to get it. I told myself if it was still advertised, I'd make time this weekend. Its a white 86 DX hatch carbed, has 86 Civic Si wheels on it. Its a great find. Just don't do anything bizzare to it. We need a good representation of classic Accords in the midwest.

🤣 yeah don't worry I'm not going to camber it put or anything, the wheels are perfect. Cars pretty perfect, probably just looking to drop it an inch and a half. But yeah I was going to buy a 3rd gen prelude two weeks ago, decided to wait a day to get it and it was sold, I knew I had to jump on this one.

3rd gen Preludes are my favorite of the Preludes and are a rare car to be seen these days. Can't remember the last time I've seen one up here. The Accord hatch is rare too, being the "original" Accord, as most people today only know the Accord being a sedan and coupe unless they were growing up in the 90s when they still existed. Some 13 years ago it was easy to find a decent 3gen hatch for $500 with decent mileage but now its nearly impossible unless you're in a hot state where they survive.

I wonder how many 3geez there is over here...would be interesting working at the motor vehicles dept lol.

It's an awesome find and you can easily get Antique plates for it.

Yeah my first car was a 91 prelude, it's probably my favorite car, I was extremely surprised to find this hatch. It was too clean to pass up. I would want antique plates but I usually get Sox plates. Plus the car is white and black. Haven't even registered it, it's in my garage, will probably get them this week. Pretty excited for this find. I've never seen the hatch on the road before

Sox plates would be perfect! If I ended up buying the hatch, I'd probably either paint the whole hood black with leaving the headlights white or I would just paint black whatever is above the headlights on the hood to match the black bumpers.

That's awesome that you've picked it up. It's always great to relive the memories even though its not a Prelude but close enough. I remember these cars while growing up and its a shame they're almort all gone.

This one was in 2004 with 388,000 miles. A random Accord hatch that has been abused

I can't see it , is it because I'm on the mobile site, also random, but how can I post a pic, I got a photobucket and Flickr account to try but it didn't show.

I'm on the mobile phone site, not sure if what I access is the full site and I can see it. I couldn't figure how to add pictures so when I post, I
hit the Go Advanced button and I do it under Attachments.
