Those of you with the JDM B20A swap, what did you pay for your engine? I tracked down a B20A with automatic from a place in WA and the guy asked for $600 for engine and tranny. Let's keep the poll to just engines though, because the manual and auto tranny prices are probably different. I'll start, even though I haven't actually bought the engine. Here's the thread where there are pics and contact info.

Thanks for participating!

I would expect to pay from $400-$1500 tops for a complete setup. I have found a long block cheap but i dont think this is a motor you want to piece together.

www.openloopmotorsports.com has them for sale roughly around $950 for a setup. I just talked to Darryl today and they have some and can get more if the demand is their and not just people saying they want one. So give darryl a call if you are serious im taking a setup from him and i have a tranny and mike lees turbo block.

Lude,

John's Foreign Engines in Lacenter, WA (http://22r.biz/) has one Accord B20A (he calls it a "Canadian B20A5") with auto tranny.

What do you get for $950? Better be rebuilt and sparkling for that price. The guy in WA (see above) wanted $600 including auto tranny.

Um that is cheap for a full JDM B20A swap with a 5spd. Your gonna spend a lot for a 5spd unless you get lucky. If you dont have the money then dont do the swap cause your still gonna need some money for odds and ends like a clutch and rebuild parts if you do that. Seeing that the B20A with 5spd is rare if the demand was their shops would probably charge somewhere around $2000 as Spituning wanted like $1500-$1800 for a full swap. I will have almost 2 full B20A swaps (minus the head on one) so i got what i need. They are out their you just have to have the money and go out and find one.

:) I found a place here in CA where they had two of them I got my black top b20a for $275 because they dont no what it is for but it had a auto on it I found a five speed at a nother jdm shop and they where going to throw it away because it didnt fit on a lude. it sat for a long time so he gave it to me for $80 bucks I got lucky with it all done and in the car with the dc header high flow cat and cat back and mic parts $1200:smokin:

Yeah, I guess the 5-spds would be more expensive. It's good to hear that someone got a hell of a deal, though.
