87 Accord LX 4dr with Weber 32/36
This morning I went to start the car, it fired up and died a few seconds later, which it has done since the Weber swap, on 2nd attempt it will fire up and idle fine as the fuel pump has caught up. Well this morning on the 2nd attempt nothing happened, no starter nothing just silence when I turned the key.
I pulled the signal wire from the starter, hooked my multimeter to it, and am not getting 12v to it when I turn the key. I have used my own wire to give a 12v signal to the start solenoid and the car will fire up, but then dies as the fuel pump is not pumping fuel.
I'm suspecting the ignition switch has gone to hell. My question is what does it take to trigger the fuel system to pump fuel. I'm ready to just wire in a couple of switches to the different relays to bypass the ignition switch so I can trigger the fuel pump and starter manually as a temporary fix.
