89' Accord SEI Coupe Coolant Pipe Removal

Hey everyone. I'm having issues on my recently acquired 42k mile SEI Coupe i picked up in Tucson.

It has sat for 22 yrs just driving 5k miles since 96 and has some pretty bad corrosion on the coolant pipe.

Part number is 19505-PH2-010 or 19505-PJ0-A00. Anyone know of where to find one? It looks like everywhere is discontinued and I can't seem to find too many 3rd gens in the JYs I've gone to.

This car is super MINT and I really want to get it running and driving again.

You need to flip that right over my way!.

Pipes cant really be found. I think some one made a flange to mount to the backside of the pump and ran a hose to both ends. Could try just running a hose across the bad spot.

Maybe if there is enough metal for some one to TIG another pipe to it that be a good fix.

By some stroke of luck, I was able to find a guy parting out a knocking A20 engine from an 89 LXi. Since it was an AZ car, everything came apart rather easily and they maintained it with regular coolant changes so the pipe I found is spotless. I also managed to grab the coolant bypass metal pipe near the IACV. $35 for both but I had to remove it. It was a bitch to take out and this engine was sitting on the ground outside a car.

Wow! An SE-i without the seats all ripped to Hades? That's truly a remarkable find! So glad you were able to find a good pipe for it too. I know mine is only held together with a giant splooge of RTV. At this point, you have to either fab some new kind of connection on there or pay someone to custom build a pipe for you.

I got her all buttoned up tonight with a new Aisin Timing belt and water pump kit with Tensioner and new Bando belts...she's running perfectly. Had a slight issue with a coolant leak through one of the barbs coming from the intake manifold so I had to bypass it and run a hose from the T fitting bypass pipe to the coolant pipe. But this engine is super healthy with only 42k miles.

All that's left to do is put the engine splash shield back on and get this one oddball tire swapped out and then take it to get titled and registered. I'm hoping to get the AZ historic copper plates on it tomorrow.

Possibly thinking about putting it up on Bring a Trailer since I live in Michigan, where it wouldn't do it justice in the Midwest and I already have my 4th gen Accord Coupe that needs my constant attention haha. This car needs to stay in the Southwest or west coast and go to car shows and be admired and appreciated.

I'll update when I get her 100% road worthy, just started it up for the first time and flushed the old cruddy brown coolant or water out for a good 20 min and then put some fresh coolant in.
