Please help

Hello I recently got an 89 accord lx automatic carbureted sedan. She runs good in the morning or after work, but after the car reaches operating temp the RPMs will drop fast at a stop while in drive. Car seems to want to die but it just ends up shaking pretty hard and dropping rpms. Watching the tac it’s like the car is trying to die. This will settle down for a little than bam car shaking up a storm as the rpms go from 900ish to 300 and back. Please help me idk what to do

Sounds like maybe you just need to kick up the idle. There's a finger-screw on the back of the carb that you can turn to adjust the idle up or down. See if that works. If not, maybe you need to check your timing, if that's off, your idle will be low too. Also maybe check for vaccum leaks. Lots of hoses on the car, so good chance one is cracked or something.
