I've done I lot to this car to get it back on the road from sitting outside for 2 years. Right now I'm replacing the head gasket after I found my oil with just a little foam in it last time I changed the oil. After watching some guys on youtube porting their heads and seeing how easy it seamed all be it a little time consuming, i got the crazy idea to port the head in my car while I had the head off. Now my car is in all sorts of pieces but the head looks really nice though.

Lapping the valves took a little more than i expected finding minor pits it the valve seats(probably from sitting for 2 years doing nothing) but after lapping the valves I got good seats on all the valves. I'm also replacing the the valve stem seals along with the camshaft seal.

You know, of all the work I've done on cars, I've never rebuilt a head. There are just too many special and expensive tools required. I always take them in. Nice work!

It wasn't that expensive, $20 for a cheap Dremel another $20 for some sanding and polishing bits, $20 for valve spring compressor tool, $15 for valve lapping tool and compound, and a wire wheel grinder is nice but not necessarily. Of course a head gasket kit that came with all the gaskets, seals, and O-rings I needed.

It's a time consuming process though, took me close to a week

I guess I read all that stuff in the manual about grinding valves with multiple angles and so forth and just said, "Nope."

If you want to go all out you could replace the valves and get the valve seats machined and resurface the head. But I just cleaned the surface really good and lapped the valve seats.

It is listed to fit a 90-93 Accord, and looked like it might fit my car but it DOESN'T FIT the stock exhaust because one of the flanges is rotated different. However when I get my new OBX header it will work, can't wait.

I guess I should post some pics of the actual car☺
She's a little dirty, but she's a working car.

I post them on Imgur first, then use the link to post it here, and uncheck "retrieve remote file"

My OBX header arrived and so did my heat wrap

First I sealed the slip fittings on it with extreme hear JBweld.

Then I sprayed it with hi-temp silicone coating.

Then I wrapped it and sprayed it again.
