First time owning this car, first head gasket attempt

Not my 1st time doing a head gasket on a car but it is on this 1. My question is can I take the head off with the intake and exhaust still attached? I take it the bottom bolts that attaches to the head on the plenum will need to be accessed from the bottom of the car?

I've done it with the intake still attached. Took the exhaust off just cause it was easier to get at the studs up top vs the bolts on the block where it attached there

You can pull the exhaust off the studs if you still have a flex pipe but it's a bitch and can booger your threads up if not careful. Better to just take the manifold off. Of the 3 times I've replaced mine, once I took the intake off, since then, I leave it attatched. Too much a headache to remove then reinstall while on the block. It's an awkward ho to line up though with that intake on there when it comes time to put the head back on.
