99 civ v-tec

My boys car is gettin totalled, they are giving him the opportunity of takin off anything he wishes. Would his engine fit in my car. he has the sohc v-tec, d16 i am sure. if not, would his fi system along with his head fit into my car. what would i have to do?

For the amout of work involved and the power gained, that swap would be not worth the money to do it. It can be done, but even if the engine was free, engine mounts would be expensive. Check out the "engine swaps" area of 3geez to get a better idea for a swap.

This should have been posted in engine swap forum. BTW, that engine is boring as hell in the civic, going to all the work and expence of trying to fit it in our cars doesn't make sense. A B16a, B18, it's definately not. Besides a modded A20 is a better powerplant that the D series any day.

I am with you keep the A20 besides it is a rare honda engine more torque than HP hahahahaha

u talking about the rarity of the A20 or the rarity of the more torque than hp motor. if its the latter check this out

Even though its "vtec" i think the A20 will slap dat azz ;)
Stay with stock, it is not worth the time, money and headache. There is no support for such a swap, you will be on your own and will end up junking your car :D
