Well I spent about 3 hours yesterday with a bucket with the mixture of H2O, pine sol, and laundry soap, and I went at it with a scrub brush and the almighty shop vac (a big one). I must say it worked pretty damn good, cuz it was getting pretty dirty before, especially the drivers seat (after all my junkyard endeavers, lol). You can see in the pics that there's a few spots that are still a little wet

I don't think this will ever come completely clean

I'm happy with it. Almost hard to tell it's a 14 year old interior with LOTS of use!

Ok I fixed the pics. I usually don't use geoshitties anymore, but fortuncity.com was not working earlier today when I posted, so I had to use my last resort :( Anyways...working now.

Thanks for the compliments! The Pine Sol and laundry soap really work good for getting some bad stains out, I was suprised what came up. I got it nice and wet though, as in I could wring it out wet, scrubbed away, then sucked up all the water I could with my wet/dry shop vac (that things got some balls!). I was just thinking... the interiors in these cars are remarkably durable, especially for the price on the car. I calculated my mileage (311,600 miles) into hours, and it comes to approx 6,232 hours of operation since the car was new, which is alot of time for somebodys ass to be planted in the seat, and there's still no rips or tears on any of the seats or door panels, and it still looks great! There's just a small wear spot where your heel rests under the gas pedal from when I had no floor mats for awile (I've got some now, just out for the washing), other than that though everythings great.

This is the reason I have black interior, no need to clean! hours of operation is not that far from yours! (272K miles) Nice job, always working hard on your car, even when one is not feeling to well.

Nice clean interior, I have the same car and color combo, but the carpet has a rip under the drivers seat and the drivers seat bottom is very worn with only 142K on it. But other than that its clean. I still must say that is a great interior for that many miles.

Alll I can say to you Jared is.... Damnnnnnnn... Your interior looks great and so clean... reminds me of my 89 Accord LX-i Sedan with that color combo Before I crashed her... R.I.P. The interior was cleaned a day before I crashed her too, and I actually took a look of the interior about 3 months ago and it still looked clean as hell. Now she R.I.P. in my back yard cuz I'm planning on using her for parts but N E who, back to the subject... sorry got a little carried away just remembering how clean my car was, but Jared You did a great job in that interior, what is it that you did, did u mix pine sol in with laundry detergant in a bucket and thats it? I was curious cuz I may give that a shot, you come up with great Idea's and since it looks great I figured "Hey What the Hell" I'll give it a shot. :-) Keep up the good work Jared and I hope your feeling better from that Flu that you have been having. jared, that looks really clean. Combing it would look really nice. awsome man. U did it on ur own or had someone do it?

Thanks! :) Yea I did it all myself, and the help of my trusty hand scrub brush, heh. The shop vac helped alot too, cuz you could suck the crap up instead of just grinding it farther down in.

I too love the black/beige interior color! They aren't as easy to keep clean like the darker colors are, but they sure do look sweet when they're nice and clean

did u take the whole carpet and interior out and washed it or had it in the car and did it? I am glad my interior is burgundy, not even black poop can make it that visible.

I was thinking about taking the seats out, but decided not to. So I just did it with everything intact, just took the floormats out and vacuumed everything real good before I started scrubbing away.

Your seats are in amazing shape. When I got my car with 155k most of the fuz was already rubbed off the bottom of the drivers seat (enough that it looked black/gray). What mix of laundry soap and pinesol did you use? I have the color interior and your pictures may have convinced me to give it a try.

I didn't really use any specific measurements or anything, just took a small bucket and the garden hose, put a little water in the bottom, then a little of this and a touch of that, and mix it all together with a blast of water (and to fill up the bucket too). Just like ghetto style cooking!
