yeah. i have a very high idle (gets up to 3k).. only SOMETIMES... and i'm thinking, "carbed... might be internal. i'm fucked" but yeah, any help?

if it idles 3K when engine is cold, than you are ok.
but if it idles when engine is warmed up than you may want to check adjustments.
