Doez the timing belt cover really matter ? Having a hard time getting bolt on tension pulley

I'd try to get it on if you can.. its just there to keep liquid/dirt and shit off the timing belt/pulleys.. mine is off right now though.

U prolly alread know but Make sure you line dem pullys up or shit wont start

All right i guess put cam up and crank on line and put belt on then tightened the tension pulley

My camshaft is hard asf to turn wont go any further could i have bent valves ?

correct me if i'm wrong someone but I read that these are non interference engines, in this case meaning if ur engine is incorrectly timed the valves and the pistons wont hit each other. I suppose there are other ways you can get a bent valve though. are you trying to turn it with ratchet or by hand?

Try a long handled ratchet socket over the cam bolt..must not be turning hard enough.

So what happened, bolt broke off still in cylinder head or the bolt came off but the bolt head is stripped?

Bolt head stripped but i put back on as tight as i can and spun it using belt and crankshaft and it spun fine now im trying to start

I'd try to replace that bolt with a grade 8 one if you can. Let us know when it starts
