As I posted earlier; my automatic tranny was shifting hard, lungeing forward, and downshifting too soon. It was not slipping so I assumed (wrong thing to do) that the fluid level was not low; and that the previous owner (I just bought the car) knew how to add tranny fluid. So I skipped checking the level, and went straight to adjusting the tv cable. When that did'nt change anything, I decided to change the fluid in case it had the wrong kind in it. When I took out the trans. dipstick.......guess what? The fluid level was right up to the threads. :wtf: Now I know the first step shoud've been to check the fluid level. But I never would've thought that it was two and a half quarts over full! So after draining the fluid and putting it back to the proper level; it shifts flawlessly. Thanx to all who helped out. :werd: Dont assume that the previous owner knew what he was doing.
