Speed sensor

Anyone know off the top of their head if the auto trans speed sensor is the same as the manual one?
Speedometer went out today, cable is still attached on both ends so not sure what the deal is but I do still have the auto trans with the sensor on it. Just seeing if I could use the sensor from it.

I'll get a new cable first and see if that fixes it. Only 9 bucks so not bad.
