What kinda engine was there for the 1988-1990 Legends?

here is what i know. C30A 3.0 12V SOHC V6 PGM-FI '90 - '95 Legend.

I searched for this, but could not find any info on the forum so i went ahead and asked. This is because, i was looking at the legend in the junk and luckly they had a 3g right next to it. they looked exactly the same and even the hood length was almost the same. My question is, like u gussed, would the engine fit?

It's been talk about quite a bit. The general view is that is would not fit or that it would be to tight. Basically add the same difficulties of doing the H22 + the V6's bigger size = expensive.
Beautifully smooth engine, but...............

yes, we've got a 90 legend and it does seem a little wider to me. the thing is fast as shit though so if you could swap one into a 3g your car would fly.

the car might be wider, because its front fenders are wide apart, but the inner dimensions of the engine bay is what i am curious about and also the mounting points seem more or less the same. I am soooo leaning towards that one for a swap, but its too much. Its like everyone dreaming of different engines to put it.

I even have a dream of swapping the I5 from the Vigor and making our 3g a AWD with a talon or GSX or a subaru diff in the rear. it would be a cool project with lotsa cash though.

IIRC, that year Legend & Accord were the same car, diff interior & engines.

If you want to do that swap, it could be (theoretically) easier than some others since it is effectively a swap from another 3G Accord (just one that was initially more expensve). I had thought about doing that before I had to get a bigger car for my primary (kids). The sixes have good power for the size, particularly the 2.7 (I think there was a 2.5L 6 in earlier 1st gen Legends).

Plus, there were tons of those Legends out there so getting a donor car that got rear-ended shouldn't be too expensize. Just my $.02

i thought it was 2.7L V6 engines just like the 5th gen V6. Well i might be wrong. but they are like C series.

VIGOR: I found that the Vigor engine is a G20. well some of you guys might have known it, but this engine is also in my mind for a AWD 3g. ;)

yes i work for acura for 2 years the legendis the same car as the accord they were actually vry simaller with a donor car the swap would not be to hardmakes it easye with a lift as you can drop the trans and engine out the bottom,

hehe I was actually reasearching the C27 blocks, you can get them in Legends and Sterlings... put a mild twnturbo setup and an aftermarket ecu and your car will destroy the spedometer

these engines are easy to come by too, nobody seems to need them.. i saw one in the paper for $150 last week.

not many people want that engine even in the junkyard, people strip NOTHING from that car for reasons i dont know. The cool thing is, they came with leather and Power seats with memory. This one 88 LEgend was on sale for 400 bucks in the junkyard i went to. THey lost the rear end to an accident so they were like, the engine runs, ts just 400 bucks. I was like holy damn. But the leater seats were busted as all get out. One day, Pwr seats might be available in my 3g. ;)
