Tranny from carbed to an Fi car

OK.. I have an 88 Accord Lx-i... and my automatic transmission went out... cause i use it like a stick (bad habit i have to break).. anyways... These hill billies that are working on my car as I type this,used the tranny out of an Lx (carbed). Rumor has it that the carbed engines had tranny's with different gear ratios than the fuel injected cars... Someone help... cause I need to know if i should panic when I get my car tonight. Thanks for your time everyone.. and I'll be posting pics when I get her ready for the world again. :wtf:

The LXi/SEi 5-speed has a little bit higher final drive ratio, but I believe that the 3rd gen Accord automatics are all the same. I'm certain that in 1989 they all were--at least that's what the factory manual says.

the casing itself is the same throughout.

I used and 87 lxi 5spd on my 89 DX that used to be a auto. It worked without a problem at all. But yeah, the gear ratio is a little diff.
