:werd: I SEE UP HERE EVERYONE SAYING THINGS ABOUT THE EFI ENGINES BUT MY ? IS MY ENGINE SAYS PFI IS THAT THE SAME THING AS EFI OR IS THAT A DIFFERNT ENGINE ?? AND IF IT IS PROGRAMED IS THERE AWAY THAT I CAN PROGRAM IT TO SEND MORE FUEL OR SOMETHING I AM KINDA WANTING TO DO SOME MODS ON THE ENGINE BUT KINDA DONT KNOW WHERE TO START .
SEE I ALREADY HAVE THE COLDAIR INTAKE AND CATBACK SO I WAS KINDA LOOKING FOR MORE HP IF POSSIBLE ... THANKS

OK I LOOKED ON MY ENGINE AGIAN TO MAKE SURE I READ IT RIGHT IT SAYS PGM-FI ITS A 87 HB

Ya, they're the same. EFI stands for ELETRONIC FUEL INJECTION, yours of course is programmed which requires eletric components.

For BLUEDEVIL
Did you convert your hatchback to fuel injection or did you buy it that way ?
I have a HB as well - Its undergoing the conversion to efi which is the same thing as programable fuel injection, just wondering if maybe some HB came with efi :werd:

lot of hatchbacks were lx-i's so they were efi's.

yea i bought my lxi hb that way , so you guys got any mods for this engine i can do cheap ?? i have intake, catback, hedders want something else though...

could try a fuel pressure regulator , or the 87prelude si computer is also supposed to provide a little more power. After that I'd say turbo or Nos - that would be fun !!:bh:
