View Full Version : what is the size of our headlights?

hey everyone
sorry i have to ask this, but i was wondering what size is our headlights? i would measure the light myself but i dont have my car for the next week or so, and i am looking at headlights right now, near close to buying them right now. so i just want to make sure i know what size our headlights are...

8" x 5 1/2" but i think 7" x 6" will fit too im not sure on that

Mine are 8x6 there is only one size for rectangular lighs in a two light system. there are different sizes for modern lights, but in the 80's there were four sizes four light rectanular, two light rectanular, four light round and two light round. that was it when these cars were designed. remember when these cars came out in 86 there were still a lot of seventies cars on the road. and head light technology wasn't very advanced. halogen lights were a big thing. my 81 civic came with factory incadescent bulbs. those old yellow dim things.
