I have a friend with a 1990 accord...he is swapping his engine and will have his engine just sitting there...the engine has modifications on it already and is in good shape....would it do me good to replace my motor with his? i hear it will fit but will the horsepower benifit my car?

i am gonna guess that it wont fit... :) and from what i hear 4gs arent really faster. so theres pretty much no point. :)

But 4 geez have more horsepower and i hear that all the stucture is the same with the two engines......so isnt that a plus? and my friend already has engine mod on his 1990 motor.....is it still not worth it?

here I'll give ya some helpful info. For 1 you will need diff engine mounts for that engine f22a1(125hp)/f22a6(140hp), whichever of the 2 it is !
Plus you'll need the tranny for it, now depending how the tranny sits in there ya may need custom lengthed axles ? dunno there.

For the work involved and the little power gained, its prob not worth it. But anything can be done !

good luck

Not worth the time and money for the amount of power. It will be cheaper to do a B20 or a B16 swap.

For the swap that you want (thats never been done that i know of) you will probably need the following.

-Custom axles
-New Engine's Computer
-Modify wire harness
-New Engine's Tranny
-BTW i think 90 and up accords have hydro trannies don't it? That would be a big problem!
-Modified engine mounts that nobody makes, simply because its not worth the swap anyway.
-Possible OBD incompatability.
-Case and point about $5000 to swap that sucky engine in your car :D (includes shop labor) ;)
