Ok guys... I have noticed lately that the accord is backfireing a lot. I have to cat and advanced timing. The carb lid is fliped and I use 93 octane as well. Could this be valve timing or plugs maybe? I can't replace the plugs because at least one of them is cross treaded into the block. Could this be an air/fuel mix problem? Thanks.

check your distributor cap and rotor before you do anything

most likely it is your timing. try go back to original setting.

is it cold in your area, the carb might be acting up beacause of the flipped lid... it NEEDS hot air to work...
