F20B in 89 lxi

Yeah I did it! I put a JDM F20B in my 89 lxi. Took a couple of months but got it done. 240hp. Its fast. Rebuilt the a20a3 and the machine shop f__ked up on my mains. I was pissed. Anyway got this motor tranny ecu an wiring harness from Japan. Had to do custom motor mounts and custom cv axles. Have a few tweaks. Order new black carpet for it. It's a blast. Trying to upload pictures to show everyone it can be done.

Very cool! Did you have any trouble with fitment? Where'd the extra 40 HP come from?

Chipped the computer, all msd COMPONENTS w E3 plugs and a much better header. Stock is 230hp. I figured I raised it a little. Stock compression is 11.1. Running some klotz 110 right now she love it! Lol smell good to. 2.5" exhaust header all the way back into a DC muffler.

Do you notice any torque steer or other complications after adding so much HP?

lol it's funny to see that the site is basically the same from 15 years ago...

i would think in today's day and age people wouldn't have trouble posting pictures... most people i know link to imgur or some other photo hosting site, like we did 15 years ago. that was my point about the timeline, but i'd still love to see these pics or even videos hosted to youtube, that shouldn't be too hard to show off the car to a bunch of us who would really LOVE to see it...

Well no one wants to pay to have there pictures hosted ...that the trouble part. Facebook doesnt charge per say just steal your info.

So I'm thinking of doing the same thing.to my 89 lxi how much modification did you have to do to get it in there proper? Change engine mounts around? Cause my idea was to rear wheel drive this car with a f20b and a turbo on top and put a 5 speed in it
