This is my first time posting on any car forum for anything but I've run into a slight problem and just looking to see if anyone has any insight on it.

I've got almost everything done for the swap shifter, pedals, clutch cable and the tranny is in I got the passenger side axle for the auto trans into the manual trans but the drivers side axel will not sit flush in the diff and I'm just wondering if possible the spline on the auto axle is ever so slightly longer than the manual axle. I'm just confused cause the passenger side went it with no problem but the drivers side has a slight gap between the diff and the axle. I thought it could have been the snap ring but even without a snap ring it doesnt sit flush and there's nothing inside the diff that could be blocking it.
If anyone knows anything about this it would be greatly appreciated.

They are different axles, auto trans is 1/8" longer

Yup you need the drivers side axle. When I did my auto to manual swap I needed the manual driver side axle
