B series motor is short for B16, B18, B20 and more. These motors come in civics, integras and others.
These are the famous DOHC VTEC motors that are so popular these days.

In Japan, the B series motors started around 88 but did not make it in the US untill about 94-95 if not mistaken.

Please read the FAQ to familiarize yourself with these types of motors and what all mods and steps you will have to make for such a swap. I can keep going and going, but this will only get you more confused.

Don't jump into the pool without doing your homework first.

You also have a Carburated motor witch is another thing that you will have to worrie about once your engine swap plans start comming into effect.

I have a few more questions.. about the B18C1 what does the C1 C2 and so on stand for??, are any of these carbed or FI,,, which would be best for me ... I have a carb in mine now ,, i believe its an A20A1 or A20A2.. again what do the last two digits stand for,,{me dummy remember}..

the last two digits represent revisions on the same engine over the years of its production. In newer engines the revision numbers also represent Vtec motors. The first 3 charecters like A20 or B20 or whatnot is important cause mostly they describe the mounting pattern.

JDM B20Axx are the only excepttion. like the B20A, B20A7 or B20A8 which came in 3gs over in europe, australia or japan.
