What's up everybody, here's my '88 LX sedan. It's carb and auto. It has sat for years, and has some issues as a result. Overall it has been well kept. Very little rust. As tempting as it is to swap it, I think to me the novelty of this car is that it's carbureted with no modern ecu or anything in it. Maybe that will be more trouble than it's worth, but we'll see. So far, I've really enjoyed browsing through the forums here. I hope to contribute something useful, and make some 3rd gen friends.

Welcome.

I know a lot of people give the autos crap but in these cars they are really good. Sure, the 4 speed auto is not as fast as a 5 speed manual but they are so nice to drive and when you want to be sporty, drop it in D3. Mine was driven like this for 200k miles without a problem.

I see you have the ultra lightweight civic VX wheels there. Those wheels weigh 9lbs and the stock LXI wheels weigh 17.1lbs that is a huge difference. I have tried heavy and light wheels on the same car and the light wheels make a huge difference in every aspect, acceleration, braking, cornering, going over bumps, ride quality.

Agreed. These autos are the very best I've driven. They'll last for 300,000 miles and not be a PITA when you want to go hard in the twisties.

Thank you for your comments! Good eye conozo! I love the Civic VX wheels. On my dailys I don't really chase handling and performance as much as ride quality, noise level, and mpg. I run the VX wheels on my 99 Civic also.
