Hubcaps

I want to put some better looking hubcaps on my car, I am told that the hubcaps I'm looking at only fit 90+ civics or 89 and older accords. Why is this? Aren't the rims the same? Why would they make a different size of steel wheel? Or if you can put the hubcaps on, has anyone tried it and knows for-sure?

If it fits Civics and Integras (except Type R's), then it won't fit your car since yours is a 90. But if it's for a 3G Accord, it should fit, unless the steelies are 13's then it won't fit either.
