I'd say you've been living on borrowed time. For about 180k miles LOL. Mine started popping at 150k. What makes you so special???

Just logged in to check the ID of the heater hoses. Good timing. Mine started swelling at about 230k gotta go through this as well.

I searched around and I never found a inside diameter listed. The 5/16" feels pretty good. I'm think I'll get them on tomorrow and I let you know.

There is several different sizes. Like 1/2, 5/8, and 5/16, thats including the hoses going through the intake though.

I'll bet those are metric sized pipes, but you can make SAE hoses work just fine. The parts store should be able to tell you the size of heater hose you need.

Afik Honda uses SAE rubber tubing for all their cars, at least in Japan. Could be talking out of my ass, but none of the jdm engines Ive worked on seem any different. If its an 8mm we might have a problem with 3/8, but a 10mm hose probably wont fit on a 3/8. Hell, idk what they sell over the pond.

Im curious. the place I buy my hoses from sell only hose and fasteners. Its where I get my brake lines made etc. They dont carry metric hose in that style but they told me there made in metric.

I might try and buy a few molded ones OEM and see what the measure. The 5/16 hose I got mic measures .271 so one the small side.

I sure wouldn't be messing around with metric hoses. There's not a car here has had trouble with the standard sizes. It's your car though.

Finally getting to this. My heater hose says 15.1mm I.D. on it. Miraculously found some 15mm hose at autozone, but damn that extra .1mm really seems to make a difference! Stretching the ends out with some drumsticks in the sun right now lol. Might have been better off with 5/8" (15.875mm) and clamping down.
Lucked out and got an OE upper hose there. They had one left thrown on the top of their stock shelf.

The 15.1mm hose is probably "5/8" and 15.1mm actual and your 15mm hose is probably actually 14mm and change. They're typically a hair smaller than their actual advertised sizes lol.
