Hello, ( first, please dont be mad about my bad English but im from Germany and the Honda Comunity here isnt that big, 3rd gen Accords even less)

ich have a 1989 Accord Exi 16V ( 133HP ). The problem is that over 60mph the Car is shaking really hard. Not everytime but most of the time. At first it was feeling like the Driveshaft, but now there are new shafts on both sides. Its still the same. You can even reproduce the problem by lift the car up ( on 2 jacks, or i did it at my hydraulic lift) and accelerate. Even then its the same.

I really hope that some of you might be able to help.

Thanks alot.

Greetings from G,

Jan

Put the rear wheels up front and see if it happens

Unfortunately I already did. And renew all balance weights on the tyres. So tyres are perfect matched.

Suspension issue can't be because it's also when lifted and there is no pressure on the coils, suspension and so on.

What about no wheels? It might go away due to less rotating mass, but if not it narrows it down.
Fine in neutral?
Wheel bearings ok?

There really isn't anything BUT the suspension to cause vibrations like that at speed, so start with a careful and thorough suspension check. A wheel bearing coming apart will still act up, even if the suspension is unloaded. Pay special attention to ball joints. If they come apart, you'll be super sad, super fast. As you inspect, be watchful for anything out of the ordinary. If you've been ignoring those leaky shocks or torn up mounts, now's your excuse to fix them. Also check your tires. They could be separating, which causes weird vibrations. If they are in good shape and haven't been balanced in awhile, then do that too.

When and how did this start?
