Help! Carb adjustment on 87

Recently acquired a 87 with carb thats been parked 6 months....trying to get it to idle and not surge up and down, cutting off, and acting crazy.....the car runs, drives, shifts flawless....but will not idle....it has a reman carb that has two screws on each side, the one on the left is "throttle stop" I believe, no clue on the other on the right, down lower, in almost the same place.....I did burp the cooling system with bleeder valve but no change....would love to know where to start on adjusting this carb , thanks in advance

I'd start by disconnecting the idle boost solenoid on the back right side of the carb, it connects to the throttle linkages and see if it goes away.

The factory vacuum system is a giant can of worms, if you are will to sacrifice some comfort, I would delete the vacuum system or install a Weber.
