Here is how i fixed the bushing

First i had to get the bushing out, so i took out the "SHIFT ROD CLEVIS BOLT" as per the manual, i took it out by connecting a few extensions and reaching to the bolt from behind the engine.

After taking it out i noticed the lower cap was missing and there was a tear in the bushing where the cap was missing, i also noticed someone had used electrical tape in an attempt to make it wiggle less.

Then i covered the whole thing with silicone, i believe using windshield sealer is better but i did not have any, i also covered where the bushing sets with silicone and then put the bushing
back in its place.

I put the bolt back and tightened it just a little bit, and then left the car in neutral (just so that the bolt is centered as much as possible) and left it to dry, and after drying i tightened the bolt to specs.

Thats not a bad fix. The loose shifter is annoying to drive.

I made one out of nylon but I think Cheddar makes them from time to time.

The big bushing on the torque rod is a civic/crx bushing you can buy in poly. It helps too esp. since you got a trans leak out of the shift seal.

Interesting. I have poly bushings and a delrin bird cage bushing, but I've never looked at that one. Mine is pretty tight, but I'm curious if there is any play in that

Looks like you really need a new shifter seal though :/ that's not an easy one

Almost every seal is leaking down there :beat:

Cheddas makes a delrin kit for our cars. I think it includes everything including the part you fixed but you may want to ask first before purchasing because i cant remember.
