that is pretty hot.. can you just spray a clear coat over it? like a satin clear.. that would be a nice race car look

I like it so far, but why didn't you spray the bumpers and fix that dent in the back end too before priming?

You gonna do the jambs, trunk, and underhood too?

i like what you did with the moldings. Good job man.

IMO the car looks good, but the inside doesnt match up. If u wanna look sharp, go for a candy apple red look, so when u open to doors u got matching interior. It would be show IMO

I think it would look better if you paint the bumpers and the moldings the same color. Oh my bad, ther are no moldings! :D

I like those rims too.

i like the primer gray with a krylon cleer. looks like a rubbed out show car finish almost. that's what im doing with my car. i might do yellow side modings but that's bordering on rice. im also going to paint my 16's black. hopefully someone will buy it like that. because at a dollar a can you can't beat the finish

the thing that bothers me on that car is the very easily repairable dent under the driver tail light assembly. easily repairable body damage like that get's on my nerves. especially since it would only take an hour to fix.

ok. i found another thing that buggs the hell out of me. the huge exaust tip on an oem muffler.

Primer looks like crap, hopefully get it painted soon, and rims suck. Otherwise, it's nice.

lol you guys are funny. um yeah sorry I didnt fix that dent. instead of bitching why dont you offer to help fix it. im not going to fix it till I start working on my tail light configuration. I didnt do anything else major like primer the jams and the trunk lid because one it started to rain like mad and two because I have to buy a new trunk lid. I did have the bumpers painted primer but I just really like the look of Black against the primer. the "huge tip" on my muffler is not a OEM muffler either thank you, its a turbo Cat, 2 3/4 pipe, and Magnaflow Exhaust. Damn shall i be shunned for using such an exhaust. the Rims are Katana couldnt tell you the series. I love em. color is Original and no one i have ever seen has them.

ooooohhh gunmetal. i love rims in gunmetal. I do like how the primer looks. hey, its your car and if anybody wants to bitch about how it looks then let them. its not like you gotta listen to em. the exhaust looks pretty good to me. the black bumpers are a little too clashy for me. maybe a darker grey or something might look ok. IMO anyway. overall its looking good bro.

why do you need a new trunk lid? i should be talking about dents i have a huge ass dent that im in the middle of working out on my trunk lid. believe it or not a basket ball hoop fell on it. im just happy it wasn't my 94. i really like those rims but i like something with a bit of a thicker spoke and with simpler lines. those would look better on something like an eclipse. i am partial to gun metal as well but seeing as i have a black car i went with silver. as far as my 3 gee goes im going to just paint the rims black when i put them on.

how many coats of primer did you use. that looks clean as hell.

I like your rims alot, I would really like to get some for my 3g but money is a little too tight. IMO they would look better on my black accord:D, but they do look good on primer also. I think you should get it painted, just go for Maaco, they do a good job if you do good prep, and they're really cheap.

meohmy01
03-10-2003, 06:56 PM
only problem with maaco is that if you get the cheap single stage paint it fades within a year. i got my 94 painted there. it cam out good. everyone goes "you got that painted at maaco?" but it is starting to fade. and there are some not so noticible spider cracks on the back bumper under that little light. other than that and the littlb ebubbles on the driver quarter pannel it looks good.

Man, those rims really make the car look alive! I love em. Crome rims would absolutely kill that car. And I have t admit, that is the first car that I actually agree on the primer. A little heavy on the interior work, but other than that...schweet ride man.

I need a new trunk lid because there are 4 holes in the top from a previous God Aweful Spoiler that was on there. I took it off and I tried to repair the wholes. it doesnt look to bad but I would like to start from scratch. the other reason is because the 88 has one center peice for the inner tail lights and the license plate. for the taillights I want to work on i need the 87 lid which has seperate peices for the lights and plate. I had a picture I edited of my car in gun metal but my brother crashed my computer so I lost everything. It looks so slick with black bumpers and gun metal body.

meohmy01
03-11-2003, 04:24 PM
damn. you can't use a little mesh with some bondo on it? im the master of bondo. i have never had to buy a body panel. but today i saw an awful bondo job on the hood of like a 93 civic sedan. they must have hit something and tried to repair it but all of it was just crumbleing off. that's why you get in there with a hammer and then grind down to bare metal. damn ammatures.

I like the hood cowl you made. Is it functional? Another thing, whos the hot chick in your avatar? I'm suprised I'm the first to notice this chick. What's wrong with you guys, only looking at rims and minor dents :D

MarioBurke
03-15-2003, 12:14 AM
hey thanks man, no the cowl in not funtionable. I didnt make a whole in this hood because last time I did that when I took it off it rained all over the engine. so i left it alone. that hott chick would be my friend Mary and she has a damn boyfriend now. :::CURSES::: foiled again! ahh who wants a hott chick that drives a 2000 Red Convertible Mustang? :'(

So got any close ups of her? Tell her she should drive a 3G. Preferably my 3G w/stick :D That blows that you couldn't get a chance with her. Just wait for her and get some meaningless sex while you're waiting :)

MarioBurke
03-15-2003, 01:04 AM
ha, yeah I got some close ups of her. taught her how to drive my car, but I liked hers better. Besides its more money to fix the stuff on my car. speaking of which I just redid T'slx87 interior in his 3 gee. redid dark blue carpet on the door panels. looks pretty sick. need to get some pics posted soon.

Mike's89AccordLX

carpet on the door panels? that should be cool to see.
