Hmm... I might be able to do this meet. I thought there was a Niagra Falls meet on June 29, 2003. I was planning on going to that one. I found out my g/f has family in Buffalo, NY and we could stay there most of the time. She wants to stay for like a week. I'm kinda wondering why we don't just combine the two meets into a big one. I'll know more in a couple of weeks. I wouldn't drive from here straight through. So it would really help out if someone could check out some decent hotel prices for me in that area. I know DXHATCHBACK and I are going to a meet. I was going to probably bring his racing seats to him. I don't know what route I will be taking either. I was thinking of crossing the border in MN and driving through Canada b/c I don't want to get stopped and checked in NY with extra seats in the back. That might seem suspicious. So if I do it in MN they wouldn't think it was suspicious. I haven't check an atlas yet to find anyways of getting there. I live in Mankato, MN, USA.

Alright I was confused, DXHATCHBACK told me on MSN that it was on the 29th. I guess I will change my plans a little now. I think it will be about a day and a half of drive or maybe two days. I'm going to start prepping the car for the long drive. Maybe I'll get off my ass and finish my SI rims and get nice tires for those. The crappy thing is all the money that I will be spending to go out there could probably buy a new paint job. So you will see my car with some common rust spots. I am pretty sure you can count me in for the meet. Hell I don't even know how many miles away that is from here. I think you can count DXHATCHBACK in also b/c he told me he was going. If I'm going to this meet, everyone that lives like 4 hours away from there better go!!! I want to go to a meet and I'm getting no response for a MN meet. I think I will call Fluidyne and see how much a new radiator would be. I will change plugs and have a spare set, bring coolant, and water, I'll check the hoses and replace old ones. I'll need new tires, and I'll bring a full spare (stock wheel), floor jack. What else do you guys think I would need to do to my car to get it ready? I'll give her a nice pep talk before I go too. I have a new Optima battery so that's good. What do you guys think?

I just finished printing off a map to the Niagara Falls meet on June 21st, 2003. Seems like a 3hr and 15 min drive from Sarnia. No Probs!!!
It is still too early to say that I will be going for sure for sure, but now that I printed the directions to get there using mapquest.com
there's a good possibility that I will be there because I'm very excited about this meet and I want to go so.... can you put me on your list (very likely) that I will go. :super:

Um a little over 2 months away. I haven't saved up any money for it yet. I definetly won't have the car painted and customized like I wanted but it will be done some other time. I will be there for sure b/c my g/f's family expects us to be there in Buffalo to stay with them for a few days. So I can't back out if I wanted to. I need to get my cv joints fixed for sure. Rims and tires also. I haven't requested time off of work yet but I will have to have it off.

We better be meeting b/c I seriously can't back out of my trip to NY. I will be pissed if we don't have a meet. All I need to save money for is cv joints and brakes now. Got the rims and tires done. Ok it just dawned on me, what we're going to be doing there? Is this an all day meet? Where are we going to eat? Any activities? I need to make a list of things for the trip so I know how much money to save up between me and my g/f. I calculated a 16 hour and 53 minute drive for getting to Buffalo, NY. That's where we will stay for a night then go to the meet. And then go back stay with my g/f's relatives.

So we'll leave Mankato here on *June 19th @ 2:00am and drive for aproximately 17 hours and get to her relatives house @ 7:00pm. Eat and go to sleep. *June 20th. Wake up and get to know her relatives. Do something with them. *June 21st wake up early and head over to the meet. (About a half hour drive maybe) We'll do whatever we're doing (Don't know a thing yet). Head back to Buffalo later that night. *June 22nd thru June 24th doing stuff with her relatives. *June 25 get on the road @ 5:00am and then have aproximately a 16 hour drive (really 17 but with the time change). Then arrive back in Mankato @ about 10:00pm.

I figured it about 2200 miles round trip and with mileage at about 30miles per gallon I will use 73.3 gallons. And with gas (estimated high) $2.00 per gallon I will need $146.60 ($146.60)

And now 73.3 divided by 13 gallons (don't want to push it with not filling up) I would need to fill up about 6 times total. So 3 fillups each way.

And if we ate at McDonalds 3 times also we would spend about $30 each way on food. So $60 on travel food round trip. ($60)

Tolls I'm expecting $20 each way. And then $20 to get in and $20 to get out of Canada. ($80)

So far I'm @ $286.60

Now at the meet I am guessing about $50-$100 for spending for stuff.

Now I'm @ $336.60-$386.60

Right now I have no money. (I do have a credit card though) My g/f has $500. I get paid 3 times from my security job ($450 total) And 5 times from Pepsi ($650 total) Plasma money ($270 total) So I'm at $1370.00 before I take out $200(Dell) $80(C.Card) $35(Cell Phone) $120(Gas for car) $200(CV Joints) $150(Brakes)
All of those deductions add up to $785.00 leaving me with a total of $585.00 So with probably only leaving me with about $400.00
So pretty much my g/f and I will be bringing $900 between the two of us. That should pretty much cover everything. I'm sorry if I'm figuring this out but I thought it would be good for others to know what's going on with me and what I'm planning. If I'm going 1100 miles to this meet I better see everyone that lives within 500 miles to be there! I'm putting off and sacraficing a lot of things for this trip and I want to make it a good one.

When I was at the meet in T.O. like maybe 2 or 3 years ago, I was the only 3rd gen there. This was at the King's buffet in Richmond hill, ON. I took a few pics too. Anyways....

Not too far away now. I still gatta get the rust fixed for sure and the bumpers treated (they are faided, but look cool when I apply armour all)

im in but in my dam geo metro i need a carb for my lx im tired of fixin it if someone wants to buy its a cupe needs struts and the carb put on its in the trunk shitty one is on now i just really suck at fixin cars so yea its a cupe lx has nice spoiler and body is pretty good interior could use redoing its black and white right now has shift nob and stuff like that honda crx si 14" rims and 13' stock ones in da trunk thats pretty much it has tints and had new upper controll arms in the back both sides .....rebuilt altonator puts out 120 amps thats abut it i want $700.00 for it and it runs and drives i think it might need a clutch soon that or cable lubed

The meet is 2 weeks away guys. This is crunch time... I'm in for sure and so is Y3G. Everyone that is coming with me is 19 so we'll be to the party afterward if there is one. If not we could just hang out. (don't need to get DUI in canada :lol ) I have spent over $1000 getting the car ready for the meet (and long haul) and that doesn't include the $900 my g/f and I have to spend to get there and all the other stuff that it will cost us to go there. Well guys I just bought 72' of red wire loom so that's one thing I will be doing at the meet. (assorted sizes also. 1/4"X20' , 3/8"X20' , 1/2"X20' , 3/4"X12'. So yeah I think I will have lots of extras. So if any of you guys want to buy some of the extra snakes that Coroncho loves :lol I will have some extra for sure. And I just bought some new OBX pedals. But I will have those in before I leave to the meet hopefully.

make sure your amp can support the Ohms. 2-4ohm subs in paralell will need a 1ohm stable amp <--i think

You just need it to be able to run 2ohms because running it inparallel cuts the ohms in half.

I used to go to "Tundra" Bay for university and man was it sooo cold and the worst part of it all, it's in the middle of freekin nowhere 15 hrs away from Sarnia, stuff was expensive as well.

Anywho, I do have a problem w/ my ride and that is it vibrates and there's a lot of play in the steering wheel when I drive at 100 kph until I hit 120kph so I dunno if you want to ride w/ me anyway :D (seriously)

Well, I hope that you can be there dude even if you could drive something else. That's not a prob alright eh.

Well I think I have everything almost done for the meet. I did my valve adjustments, oil change, coolant flush, sealed up a leak and ruined my Ractive plug wires. Last night around 11pm I ripped a metal thing out of the plug boot. ( I had Ractive wires thinking they were Toucan b/c that's where I got them from) I have no time to get nice wires so stock replacements will have to do. Now all I have to do now is clean it out and pack it up and wash it. And Starter if I like how my car is running we could maybe race. (DXHATCHBACK's and my car are pretty much exactly the same other than the DX and hatch.)

That could be fun as for the wire I had that happen with a crane cam fire wire I just yanked the boot off (it was glued) and clamped the terminal back on it worked well.

My car looks like shit cause I did not get the rust done like I wanted to. Cost $1000 shaw right!!!
That includes both fender wells and both rockers!
NOT WORTH IT!!!
My driver's side CV joint boot had torn up really good and what I did to temporarly replace it was a new boot that I cut in half and installed it but the cv joint grease is squirting out all over the place. I don't have the time right now to replace it since I need my car to take to work that's 15 mins away.
I'm soooo mad!
I still have a leaky power steering return pipe from the gearbox in the rack. My ride is costing me much mola to be problem free and look nice.

I just got in from last minute crunchin!

I'm very sorry to those that didn't make it or just had one too many excuses NOT to go. Ummm, Travis! :lol j/k :(

BTW, my cv boot is still intact. Custom mods rule if done properly ofcourse and mine was a success!
I do need to replace the whole drive shaft or two to fix the problem right. For sure before our next meet.
