Make sure the defroster is plugged in at your rear window, and if it is, there might be corrosion in that connection, but this is just a logical guess.

One line on my rear defroster is out. What should I check?

I've seen kits to repair them in parts stores, just call around, you should be able to find one somewhere.

Rear defogger is powered by 2 fuses, #5 (10A) underdash fuse box and #23 (30A) underhood fusebox (one of those screw-in suckers). There is also a rear def relay on the back of the under dash fusebox, just about in the center. em_, since the light on the switch lights up, fuse, switch are ok, check relay coil/contacts, fuse #23, and then wiring. Oh, and dome light = light on inside of roof.

Well actually the light bulb is out on the switch but it works. The line that is out is on the middle of the window. I'll check the fuse, but how do I go about checking relay coil/contacts? And wiring? This isn't a big deal and I probably won't get around to doing it any time soon, but when there's ice on the window, and there's this big ass streak of ice in the middle of my window it is kind of irritating.

one line is just a cut peice of paint... all that grid is is a bunchof conductive paint.. thy make kits to re paint the line... that should do it

Are you saying it got scratched and it's basically shorting there? Hmm, I guess I'll go to Schucks and see how much the kit costs. I wont have to repaint all of them will I?

just the broken bar will need to be fixed... if you can see a huge break.. then you will just need to patch that part

Sorry GhettoAccord, I didn't mean for all that stuff I posted to apply to you. Yeah you just need to locate & repair the break, a how-to can be found if you've downloaded Paul's manual, the body electrical chapter. Again sorry for misleading you!
