hey man *a20a1* I wanna get a weber for my car its a 87dx auto ............eveyone tells me that u made it work ...........can ya help me out.........and is it worth getting one for an auto?

well fisrt you should find out what configuration your auto trans cable is in.

Basicly find the transmission cable on the left side of the car between the battery tray and the distributor. follow the cable from the trans... if it goes into the firewall then you don't need my help. If the cable goes the the carb instead let me know.

well the only cable I saw that comes from the tranny goes across the front of the engine *above the headers* to the firewall............so does that mean I should have any trouble installing a weber?

the other way you can tell if auto trans cable is going to your carb or your firewall ijust by looking at the carb.
when you standing in the front of the car. look at the left side of the carb. if you see 2 cables going into the throttle braket, you are screwed.

yeah but you'd have to remove the air cleaner... well least I think you do... its bee a while.

So if the cable goes for the tranny to the firewall then it is just like installing it on a 5 speed? and if it goes to the carb then it will need custom work?
