Hi Guys:

I would like to purchase an engine for my car. Would anyone of you know where I can purchase one of those low mileage engines that are are imported from Japan?

Thanks,
Claude

So whats pushing you to replace the motor? did something blow... or are you going to weigh cost of rebuild versus new engine?

Hi Guys:

Sorry for the lack of info. It's for an 89 Honda Accord DX sedan. I've got oil leaks every where. It's leaking from the crankseals, oil filter housings and oil pump. I would cost several hundred dollars to replace those seals, one which would require the removal of the transmission. At this point, I dont want to have further engine problems if I replace all those seals. I don't to spend several hundred dollars to replace those seals and then finally have old piston rings wear out. I think right now, a new engine would be the safest way to go.

Yeah my engine blew and i bought a new one for 550 it is a a20a3 for my lxi, same engine so its all good. My old engine blew up at 194k, and this new one has 86k miles on it. I have my old engine out, so i can put some of the parts on my new one. Just open up the phone book and look at import engines and stuff. I called many places and honda engines are everywhere so you should not have a problem finding a new one. Good luck dude
